'Doh!' Meuer corn maze features the Simpsons

For Action Reporter Media

Brothertown – Members of the longest running TV sitcom will be featured in the Meuer Corn Maze this fall.

Dave and Leslie Meuer revealed the design of the maze — now in its sixth year — this week in a press release.

The farm is located off Highway 151 near Brothertown. The maze opens Sept. 12 but will feature a special one-day opening on Aug. 23 in honor of the Simpsons.

Last year's maze celebrated the retirement of popular Green Bay Packer Donald Driver.

The Simpsons is celebrating its 25th anniversary on television. Images of all family members — Maggie, Lisa, Bart, Homer and Marge — are cut into the Meuer Farm Corn Maze for 2014. The design of the maze for the first time includes a bridge that allows visitors to climb nine feet above ground to view paths and people underneath.

The maze includes a challenging three miles of paths in a human labyrinth. Clue categories focus on trivia from the Simpsons.

Every year, thousands of school children visit Meuer Farm to learn about agriculture. The farm has crops, strawberries, beef cattle, hogs, chickens, a pumpkin patch, tree farm, maple syrup and bees.

In addition to the maze, the farm offers a 45-minutes hayride and a farm activity area featuring farm animals, a straw fort, 80-foot tube slide, corn box and corn cannons. Meuer Farm serves food including brats, burgers and pizza.

Busy Bee Country Store has Meuer Farm products available for sale along with several locally made items.
